What! I wonder... Was I born to be? Have I nailed it? Fulfilled my destiny? Or am I half way there Maybe even just a wanna be? Have I defied the dogma...? Associated with being ...me? Have I satisfied? My psychological thesis Mollified my tireless whim Or have I progressed? Into someone else's twin Mimicking her action Or just begging Forgiveness for her... sins? What I was born to be? Guess I can finally concede. Born with the gift of glib Call myself a wordsmith. Words spoken with no fear Strong willed, ferocious… Oh yes I would dare! I even know how to Suck that up…grin and bear. Watch it, I might take you Up on that dare… What I was born to be? Naw… I don’t need to wonder… Cause I already know deep Inside myself that I am just… free.

Description
To my Readers . . .
First let me express my gratitude to you for sharing this experience with me. And that is what it was for me. I enjoyed writing this so much and felt every emotion, I felt every physical interaction and every sexual connection.
As you enter these first few pages you are going to be angry, your eyes are going to brim with tears at the words that meet your gaze and your mind's ey
e is going to reflect upon...someone. She will come to your mind, a friend maybe or even a family member. Maybe your mother or even a sister. With my someone, you are going to make a connection.
As I share my someone with you, let's call her Maggie, you will see my inhibitions fall further and further away, through my words you will travel with Maggie to places where you will cry tears of joy and scream angrily at life. You will become Maggie's ally, she will touch your soul, and you will fall in love...and hurt for her. You will admire her strength, her boldness, her perseverance and her unwillingness to stop fighting for her family. You will want to be everywhere with her, you will want to protect her, love her and free her.
Yes, this will happen because this story is real. It is what we see everyday in society, in our families and in our homes. And change begins exactly there, in our homes, where we teach our children to love and cherish, to speak up and speak out and last but not least, to respect every living creature.
Thank you again, and I look forward to sharing the sequel "The Mark of the Beast" with you. Where you will see Mark reemerge, going after Maggie and again, turning her life upside down. He will display his true characters and again she will fight for her life, her family, and her freedom.
With Gratitude,
Sonia Valencia Singh

  2. MY FIRST REVIEW:

    5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ!! December 6, 2012
    By G. Grillo
To be honest, when I read the first pages, I was hesitant to continue. It seemed to be just another story of abuse. I thought to myself, "Oh no, I need something to lift me up, not something that will make me feel sad". A few days later, I realized that I had become an accomplice of society pretending not to see the "white elephant in the room". Ashamed of myself I went back and started reading with a different perspective and I was not dissapointed. It was an incredible and unexpected journey. I was there with Maggie through her crisis, her success and her doubts. I felt her pain and anger and her happy moments too (yes there are many). The twits and turns in the story made me want to read more and more. This is really a must read, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one. Kuddos to the author.

This review is from: The Mark of a Man (Paperback)
Sonia V. Singh perhaps may not have the seasoning of an Author who have enjoyed many past successes as other may perhaps expect. Perhaps she is not the "Professional" that other "High Browed" haters or readers may expect or cast dispersion upon. What i found quite refreshing is that she had the courage to attempt and thus tell and share her story. The "READ" was easy and uncomplicated and i found my self immersed in her written journey. Loved the story and i am so looking forward to her next episode. KUDOS . . keep writing.
